During this 3 hour workshop you will learn a very handsome, strong and useful binding technique

The Traditional Japanese binding technique is a beautiful and impressive binding, working with very delicate and radiant Kozo ( mulberry) paper and a soft cloth or thick paper cover.

You will receive hands on education as the instructor Thayer Bray will take you step by step through sewing and binding your own personal journal, sketchbook, or beautiful gift book.

At the end of the class you will have one or more handmade books that you bound yourself!

This Workshop is $60+$20 lab fee. Lab fees pay for tools and materials.

* This is an intro/ intermediary workshop.

*This workshop requires moderate hand strength and a dexterity.

*This workshop is non-toxic.
