The Workspace

We are partnering with Kansas City Center for the Ink and Paper Arts to offer classes and access to their large selection of presses, equipment and workspace.

The workspace also contains 8 banks of rentable flatfiles, all of which is accessible through the Studio Rental program and the Membership Program. The workspace and presses are monitored 24/7 by artists in the residency program and CC tv for your safety and assurance

The Presses

We have a full compliment of traditional and Contemporary Fine Art Presses, including

  • Fuchs and Lang Lithography Press

  • Conrad intaglio press,

  • French Tool co. intaglio press

  • Reliant Washington press

  • Vandercook Letterpress

  • 2 tabletop platen card presses

  • Screenprinting octopus

  • Several Banks of cast and wooden type

We also have equipment necessary for all processes, including:

*Screen washout and graining sink booth * Full analog photographic darkroom setup with two enlargers, able to print 35mm up to 4’x5’ sheet film * Silkscreen and photoplate storage * Plate and screen exposure unit * Inking station * lead and wood type banks * 6 lithography stone banks * Vertical ferric chloride etch tank * Hot plate * Roller racks * Chemical storage cabinet * Acids storage cabinet *

The darkroom is a 400 sq ft space containing two vintage photo enlargers, developing trays, drying wire, as well as film developing tools, alternative process chemistry and Screenprinting and photo plate storage

Our International Residency Program will provide 4 artists a year from around the globe with full access to our space and our community to develop a body of work, focus on their practice, and build their careers.

All Artists are invited to apply every June; all selected artists will be granted a full year’s worth of free access to Greenhouse Print Space, in exchange for services rendered to the organization.
