During this Three week, Wednesday evening class. (3 days, 2-3 hr evening classes) you will learn the basics of Collagraphic printing.

You will learn the ins and outs of Collagraphy, building a printing plate with cut paper, board, adhesive, and sealant, and taking advantage of the season to print with fresh fallen leaves! We’ll be using multiple colors in this class, and learning how to wipe the plate with multiple inks, prepare and handle paper, and print on a professional Intaglio press!

You will receive hands on education as the instructor Thayer Bray will take you step by step through the Plate Making and printing process

At the end of the class you will have several hand-pulled prints you made yourself!

Evening 1 : Introduction, Plate Making: cutting, gluing, sealing your printing plate>

Evening 2 : proofing and printing- troubleshooting- learning to work with ink and print on prepared paper

Evening 3:collect your prints, feedback and celebration!

This Workshop is $80+$20 lab fee. Lab fees pay for tools and materials. feel free to bring your own paper, chipboard, textured material, lace, and leaves.

* This is an introductory class.

*This class requires moderate hand strength and a dexterity.

*You may be exposed to natural and petroleum solvents in this class. Safety procedures will be followed.
