During this four week, Thursday evening class. (4 days, 2-3 hr evening classes) you will learn the advanced screen printing technique of making stencils with photo emulsion

You will learn the essentials of using photo emulsion to make complex images with printed out and hand drawn negatives!! Preparing the screen, image drawing, coating the screen, Making photo workable negatives, and the proper way to handle ink and paper, printing, and handling the finished prints.

You will receive hands on education as the instructor Thayer Bray will take you step by step through the screen handling and printing process

At the end of the class you will have several hand-pulled prints you made yourself!

Evening 1 : Introduction, preparing and coating the screen, safe handling of materials, making a photo negative, thoughts on multiple colors, the differences of different inks.

Evening 2 : shooting the negative with the exposure unit, washout; screnprinting setup, ink handling and mixing, paper prep.

Evening 3: printing your images, cleanup,

Evening 4:collect your prints, feedback and celebration!

This Workshop is $100+$20 lab fee. Lab fees pay for tools and materials.
